Action Sequences

Fables: A Wolf Among Us was my first project at Telltale, and was a very fun mix of noir, pulp and fantasy.  I worked on a number of larger action sequences in the series, primarily brawls.  My design focus on these (other than scene logic and functionality) is on setting up the interaction timing, target placement, and gestures (QTE swipes, button presses, struggles).  In these, I try to replicate or represent the action on screen (unobtrusively but clearly) so that the player inputs feel congruous and as natural to the character as possible.  These details are typically more felt than observed. 

On the left, Grendal fight at the Bar in Episode 1.  On the Right, Jersey Devil brawl in the Pawn Shop, Episode 4.
